My Mother Margaret 1828
Thank you for your supportive and kind comments on my last post. We are currently making very fast progress on some improvements to our house in order for it to go on the market in the coming months. Hopefully we'll be able to move on and find a sense of home again in the nearish future.
I remembered recently that I hadn't yet shared my third antique sampler with you all. It is not the prettiest sampler, but I fell in love with the verse which says 'Who fed me from her gentle breast and hush'd me in her arms to rest and on my cheek sweet kisses prest. My mother Margaret 1828'. When I chart this one I think I will play around with the colours and see if I can joosh it up a bit.
I finished charting my first antique sampler (Margaret Jagger 1824) tonight, so although there is a way to go (checking, stitching and printing) I am feeling quite pleased with myself. I have really enjoyed the process so far and I'm excited about charting future samplers.
Hope your week is going well!
